Confidence in every plan, with our unique scoring system
Why evidence matters
To provide the best treatment, you need to know which interventions deliver the strongest results - and that requires reliable evidence. Not all research is equal: some studies are outdated, small in scale, or low in quality. Many clinics still rely on this mixed-quality evidence, which leads to inconsistent car
Every recommendation BodySync makes is rooted in science - but not all science carries the same weight.
That’s why we developed our unique scoring system, to ensure only the highest-quality, most up-to-date research informs your treatment plans
BodySync’s Triple Filter
BodySync uses a triple-filter scoring system to ensure only the strongest, most reliable studies shape your treatment plans. Each study is first assessed for its level of evidence (Oxford Centre for Evidence-Based Medicine), then screened for methodological quality (PEDro score), and finally evaluated against BodySync’s own 26-point quality checklist. This means outdated, poorly designed, or low-quality trials never influence your recommendations - only the most up-to-date, high-quality evidence makes the cut.
PEDro Scoring
PEDro Criteria
Random allocation of subjects
Concealed allocation
Similar groups at baseline
Blinding of subjects
Blinding of therapists
Blinding of assessors
85% follow-up (low dropout)
Intention-to-treat analysis
Between-group statistical comparisons reported
Point estimates & variability reported (e.g. effect sizes, confidence intervals)
The PEDro Scale is a physiotherapy-specific checklist that rates the quality of clinical trials. It focuses on study design, bias control, and reporting standards, helping BodySync filter out weak or unreliable evidence. Only trials with a PEDro score of 6 or higher are considered in our recommendations.
Score Meaning
9–10 = Excellent quality
6–8 = Good quality
4–5 = Fair (use with caution)
<4 = Poor (exclude from recommendations)
Oxford Centre for Evidence Based Medicine
The Oxford Centre for Evidence-Based Medicine (OCEBM) Levels of Evidence rank research by strength — from high-quality systematic reviews and randomised trials (Level I) to expert opinion (Level V). BodySync prioritises Level I–II studies to ensure treatment plans are always based on the best available evidence.”
BodySync uses a 26-point proprietary scoring system that combines international standards (OCEBM and PEDro) with our own quality criteria to ensure only the best research informs your treatment plans. With thresholds set at every stage of the process, we not only show how much evidence supports a treatment, but also the quality behind it.
Threshold 1 – Caution Flag
If the available evidence is limited, or the quality of research doesn’t meet our standards, the plan is clearly flagged so you and your patient understand the level of certainty.Threshold 2 – High Confidence
When all the evidence is recent, robust, and high quality, the plan is marked with a high-confidence tag — giving you and your clinic complete assurance that the recommendations are strongly supported.
The result: BodySync makes evidence transparent, showing not only what to do, but how reliable the science behind it really is.
